This is a Disco gem from Nexus. It features both the vocal and instrumental versions of “Stand Up”.
I play the instrumental version a lot for its cool bassline, rolling drums and awesome synth/piano sounds — it’s got a really nice groove that works brilliantly in sets. The vocal version is well worth a listen too, with strong delivery and energy.
The hand-numbered reissue on this 12” sounds excellent. If you’re a vinyl collector or DJ into proper disco with character and groove, this Nexus release is a must-have for the crate. Clean copy and plays strong every time.
