Why I Stock This Record
This is a solid collection of underground hip hop masterpieces from various artists on the Art That Kills label in Germany.
What stands out to me are two tracks in particular: The Sunburst Band’s “The Easton Assassin” and especially Opus Ten’s “Love’s Calling” (instrumental). That Opus Ten track is both powerful and snappy — the kind of instrumental that really cuts through on the dancefloor.
I recommend pretty much all the tracks on this compilation. It’s got that raw, gritty energy with strong beats and sharp lyrics that I look for in hip hop. If you’re a serious hip hop fan, vinyl collector, or DJ who likes real underground heat, this one is a must-have for the crate. Clean copy and plays strong.
